AVALABILITY OF FACILITY

We work on a first come, first served basis. Phone calls to check on availability cannot be accommodated. Your date and time are not held or confirmed until you meet with our coordinator and place your deposit. If you have not been to the farm before, please schedule your tour to come out for a visit prior to inquiring about a date. If you have already been to the farm, Thank you for your support and please click below to complete the information form. Someone will be in touch as soon as possible!

Darby Farms Party Package

Our $550 Party Package includes:

2 Hour- Facility Rental in our Heated/Air Conditioned indoor party area at Darby Acres Farm with a Tour of the Farm for up to 30 people.

Additional Add-ons are available upon request:

$105 “Touch and Feel” Educational Package: Includes up close interaction with our Bunnies, Ferret, Tortoise, Fennec Fox, Porcupine, and Bearded Dragon. Please note these animals are subject to change anytime.
$5 Per one bucket of feed for the animals on your tour.
$20 Bunny Coral: Includes up close encounter time with Bunnies for up to five children.
$25 Interactive Animal Encounter: Includes a personal one on one encounter with an animal from our available encounter list.
$20 For each additional guest after 30 people.
$80 Additional per one hour added to the party or event.

What are the opening hours of Darby Acres?

We are NOT open to the public. You must have a scheduled tour or event in order to come to Darby Acres Farm or Darby Safari. THIS MEANS A PREPAID RESERVATION IS REQUIRED TO VISIT OUR PRIVATE PROPERTY. We kindly ask you do NOT show up without an appointment or we will have to ask you to leave.
Can parents drop their children off at Darby Acres?

NO. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian.
Can I bring my own food or beverages to Darby Acres?

Yes, but it must stay in designated areas. No outside foods are allowed during tours or animal encounters.
Can we bring our dog/pet to the Farm or Safari?

NO. Because the farm is home to guardian animals, and many rescue animals, we kindly request, for the safety of our animals and yours, that you do not bring any dogs or pets with you to either property as it will cause unnecessary stress to the animals.
Is Darby Acres Farm and Darby Safari the same?

NO. Darby Safari is located off Kelly road, Charlotte, NC 28216. Darby Acres Farm is located off Hutchinson lane, Charlotte, NC 28216. THEY ARE TWO SEPERATE LOCATIONS. The exact address is provided in your tour confirmation email.
Do you offer same day appointments?

While their are times we have additional slots open for same day tours, it is rare. WEEKENDS SELL OUT QUICKLY. Please check our website first to see if same day times are available and call 704-738-4444 if you see times available to book. IF IT SAYS SOLD OUT PLEASE DO NOT CALL US AS WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIT YOU IN.
What happens if I am running late?

For the safety and protection of our animals and grounds, gates to our property must be closed at the beginning of every tour. For this reason, we are unable to allow for ANY late arrivals. PLEASE CALL US IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE AT ALL. Gates will close promptly on the hour. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR TOUR 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR TOUR TIME. We have limited our tour group sizes in order to provide the best experience for our guests, due to this we often sell out. We kindly ask that you prepare for your visit in advance by making yourself familiar with directions and travel time to our property. Please only use the address provided to you in your confirmation email. WE ARE UNABLE TO RESCHEDULE ANY TOURS DUE TO LATE ARRIVAL; ALL LATE ARRIVALS WILL FORFEIT THEIR TICKETS WITHOUT REFUND OR RESCHEDULING.
Do you take credit or debit cards?

We only take cash or Venmo on sight. WE DO NOT TAKE CARDS OF ANY KIND AT DARBY ACRES FARM OR DARBY SAFARI.
Do you sell food or drinks?

We do NOT currently sell any food or drinks at Darby Acres Farm or Darby Safari. Please come prepared with snacks in the car or water throughout your tour.
Are you handicapped or wheel chair accessible?

Our facility is not currently considered handicapped accessible. Our Farm tours are located on a slopped trail with many roots, small holes, mud, and gravel. We only recommend strollers or wheelchairs that have all terrain tires.
What if there is bad weather?

We do not issue refunds. Darby Acres Farm and Darby Safari will have your tour or event, rain or shine! If there is severe weather, causing unsafe conditions, we will cancel the tour or event ahead of time and provide you with a redemption code towards a future date.
How much are tickets

Ticket prices are based on which tour you book and encounters you would like to add. Please go to book button/calendar to see what is available.
Do you have same day appointments?

Possibly, if there is an open time on calendar with slots, you can book up to an hour before tour time. Tours do book fast! Please text 704-738-4444 for further tour booking questions
What is difference in farm and Safari?

At farm is a guided walking tour of mostly farm animals. Safari is a guided walking tour has mostly exotic animals(and a few farm)
